SIT - 'Kowwboy'
13 December -  19 January

After shows in New York and Los Angeles earlier this year, our very own SIT finally returns to Amsterdam with a completely new body of work - titled 'Kowwboy'.

The crow has a kind of beauty that is difficult to grasp with the naked eye. It often stands for darkness and death, but to SIT this bird also symbolizes life: it’s only by shining a ray of light on the black whole, the crow might reveal its details and mysteries to us.

Apart from SIT’s drawings and canvas paintings, the exhibition ‘Kowwboy’ also shows a new technique
within his body of work: etchings on glass. He wrought the back of sandblasted glass with spray paint, out of which he etched bold images in beautiful black and white tones.

Catching up with SIT at the Scope Art Fair in New York. SIT discusses his latest work, his involvement in the 'Hybrid Thinking' show with Wooster Collective and his relationship with crows...
