project: installation at re-opening Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

When Amsterdam's modern art museum, Het Stedelijk Museum, re-opened their doors after years of renovations, SIT was invited to create an installation in one of the museum's new spaces. On the opening night he created a series of paintings: 11 works called "kowws" - an interpretation of the chronophotography of birds in flight.
On one end of the room he would paint this series, an overhead camera would film his efforts from above and project this on an opposite wall. As the night progressed each new painting was hung to dry along another wall. Finally, an animation created by all the night's paintings was projected in multiple layers on a fourth wall.

For the re-opening of Amsterdam's museum of modern art, Stedelijk Museum, SIT was invited to create a series of paintings on the opening night at the museum. This resulted in a series of 11 works called "kowws" - an interpretation of the chronophotography of birds in flight. His actions were beamed on one wall, with the progress of the crow's animation on another. music: DJ Kypski & The Matangi String Quartet
